The Besse Forest Products Group acquired Escanaba Lumber Company, located in Escanaba, Michigan in January 1996. In 2003, the company upgraded its production capabilities with the installation of a new double cut band head rig.
The company can produce over 5,000,000 board feet of hardwood lumber per year as well as re-sawn and cut to size pallet lumber.
The markets served by Escanaba Lumber Company both complement and supplement existing markets served by other Besse Forest Products Group Companies.
